With over 20 years of experience as a qualified horticulturist and garden designer, I feel incredibly fortunate to work in a field I love. Horticulture, plants, and gardens aren’t just my profession—they’re my passion.
That passion has shaped a career not only in garden design, but also in education and community engagement. I’ve taught in colleges, schools, and botanic gardens, nurturing both people and plants. I’m proud to be a national examiner for RHS Qualifications and Co-Director of Rudge Wood Horticulture CIC—a not-for-profit social enterprise supporting learning and wellbeing through gardening.

Courtyard Garden
A visit back to this stylish courtyard garden in Cheltenham. The sunken patio and terraces are flourishing, with Lavender, Callistemon and Roses in flower for months. This was planted just 9 months ago, we can still squeeze some more colour in though!
Large scale planting project
From the tiny to the HUGHE! Our next project is to plant out this lakeside 30m border plus the terraced borders behind. The planting plans are approved, borders cleared and plants ordered. Now for the fun – planting next week, hope it’s not raining
Small garden planting
We’ve finished planting this small garden this week, transforming a rather overgrown and dull space into a stylish space to enjoy. The design includes strong assymetrical borders and tall obelisks for fragrant roses giving height and balance to the space.
