Designing a garden or landscape is a dynamic process, working together to ensure that the final design meets all of your needs and is suited to your outdoor space.

1. Taking a brief

I will arrange a meeting with you  to identify your needs and wants. We will look at how you want to use the garden, who will use it, the style of garden you like including the type of plants, and materials you could include.

2.Surveying the space.

Before beginning the design it is important to understand the space and conditions you have for creating a garden. We will carry out a survey of the space, including dimensions and anything that is likely to affect a new design. You may like to have a full written survey report and plan prepared to used to support a planning or funding application.

3.Concept plans

Using all of the information gathered I will develop ideas and concept suggestions and ideas for your garden.  We will discuss these; you will tell me the concepts you prefer and start to visualise how the finished garden will look.

4.Design

Using the concept plans and ideas I will prepare a full presentation layout plan of your garden or outdoor space to show all of the features, structures and key plants. You may like to have a full planting plan prepared at this stage with all plants named and located on the plan.
